ARBITERS Pages 24-25

In the first page I thought I’d try something with a little more dynamic kind of panelling, in showing the ziphook flying from out of the panel which makes it flow through to the lower one to show where it connects. After all, it needs to cling onto something and it would have to be a tree of course.

The posing of the swing took some inspiration from Spider-Man, which was intentional, as it was meant to be a reference to that. By adding the motion lines like they appeared Pages 10-11, I had intended it to show them moving very fast towards the base, as indicated by the next panel that shows them moving to the power generator building at a high speed. Originally, when they found the vent, they were simply going to be standing above the vent about to enter, but I figured this would be an opportunity to show their relationship and had them bump fists instead.

I have also gotten much more comfortable with the particular art style while progressing through the pages, so it looks a lot smoother and better looking than they did in the earlier pages. I will strive to continue improving as I go along.
