In rewatching the episode, early on I got an idea for how I would structure one of the scenes. In the episode, Leonardo is backed into a corner with Foot surrounding him, when he notices a cable line above him. He jumps off of a Foot that had attempted to attack him in the prior scene but overshot and got knocked down. He grabs the cable and cuts it with his katana, then swings off to a rooftop some ways away from the Foot. The angle of the cable in the shot and the following grabbing of that cable gave me the idea to make the cable follow into the panel below it as a literal through line, which I got the inspiration for from a scene in MHA #280:

The thrown knife follows through to the next panel, in this case, the broken vial. Since manga reads from right to left and comics left to right, I had to play around with the panel structure to make it fit within the correct format and still retain the same sense of flow from one panel to the other. It’s a very cool trick with the panelling format that I’ve always wanted to try my hand at since I read it. Horikoshi is, as I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, an absolute genius.
