ARBITERS Pages 10-11

This was my first double page spread, something I spent a considerable amount of time and effort into making as stylistically striking as possible. I wanted the scene to both showcase Feedback’s character and the speed of his hit, and to give him a pretty cool looking scene as well. I feel as though the posing could’ve used a little more work however, but I do like how the punch leads into the next frame, which wasn’t entirely intentional, but more of a happy coincidence.

I wanted the scene to look kinetic, and I had planned on showing the samurai tumbling to the tree, but it turned out to be a bit difficult to get it looking how I wanted it to, so I went for a three panel after shot instead. The posing was mostly inspired from Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia series, where Deku punches All Might. He’s been a huge inspiration for me and I want to be as good as he is someday. His artwork, panelling and writing is absolutely astounding.
